We were invited by family and friends to visit The Shrine of Christ's Passion. It is located at 10630 Wicker Ave, Saint John, IN 46373, and they are open Mondays to Sundays from 10 am until 8 pm.
It is a favorite destination for Catholics to reminisce the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made to save human race. It could be a fantastic opportunity for parents to introduce Christianity to their children.
Non-Catholics and/or non-Christians can also visit the place for a tour. I'm sure you'd find the place relaxing and you'd be amazed by the detailed life-size statues and buildings.
The 1/2 mile pathway display scenes from the biblical Last Supper, carrying of the cross, until the ascension of Jesus to heaven. You'd also experience music, voice over, and sound effects as you take the walk.

Moses, Mt Sinai, and the 10 Commandments was built from 160 semis full of boulders, clay and dirt. It is one of the main and newest features of the Shrine. According to The Shrine's official website, its construction took 3 years.

There's also a gift shop where you'd find very nice souvenirs for yourself or something you'd love to give to someone else. The place surely has something for everyone!
However, we must remember that the statues should just remind us of God's greatest gift to us. We should not worship any curved image as God has commanded us in Exodus 20: 1-6:
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
