This pandemic won't stop us from having summer fun! (Of course, while adhering to health and safety protocols like social distancing.) Although we weren't able to go far or out of state this summer, we were able to explore some beautiful and kids-friendly places near us.
My husband and I have decided to enroll our eldest son in a private school which offers homeschooling program. This allows us to be flexible with our schedule including outdoor trips with our kids. One of the benefits of homeschooling a child!
Santa Springs is a Caribbean-themed water park located in 601 Dundee Avenue, East Dundee, Illinois 60118. It's not far from our place and we haven't visited the place before.
Since Santa Springs is an outdoor water park, we thought it would be a great summer activity for our kids. Considering the risks during this pandemic, we decided to make our reservations online. We thought, it would be safer to visit an outdoor water park where air circulation is not impeded compared to an indoor water park.
We checked their website and searched for available slots. After selecting the date, we purchased the tickets. We went there on the 23rd of August.
As of today, August 28, 2020 it seems like the water park is already closed for the rest of the season. We were lucky to get there in the last minutes. It was such a great day for the kids. Summer won't be complete without some water fun.
Here are some of our pictures at Santa Springs Water park. You might also want to take a look at our kids' video.
